About Us

At St. Anne’s, everything we do is informed by what residents need and want—today and tomorrow. Representing a range of diverse backgrounds, the people who live here are unassuming, open-minded, independent thinkers. They freely share their thoughts and suggestions knowing they will be heard. Our faith-based values foster a welcoming, inclusive environment open to all beliefs, races, ethnicities and pronouns.

Our not-for-profit status ensures all efforts are centered on serving our residents. Since opening our doors in January 1987, St. Anne’s has cultivated a community well-loved by residents and families, and it has been the home of choice for multiple generations.

St. Anne’s Terrace began in 1983 as the dream of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church rector Rev. Frank Allan and Dr. Anderson Smith, a St. Anne’s member and psychology professor at Georgia Tech who specialized in gerontology. Because of a dearth of senior living communities in Buckhead, the dream quickly became a very welcomed reality.

The mission of St. Anne’s Terrace is to provide excellence in housing and services in a faith-based community so residents may flourish.

Get to know the exceptional volunteers who guide St. Anne’s Terrace! Our board of directors works tirelessly to create an exceptional living experience that fosters growth and connection.

In 2008 when David returned home from the University of Alabama to finish his degree online with the University of Maryland, he took a part-time courtesy officer position at the Terrace and soon thereafter worked full-time nights at the front desk. When he graduated in 2010, his goal was to become a teacher. His decision to accept the Terrace’s offer of Activities Assistant Director and bus-van driver altered David’s life trajectory.
